The House on the Hill

This subject has been a long time favorite of mine to paint.

It is done in Transparent Watercolor, on a 1/4 sheet of 140 lb. ,

cold pressed, D'Arches paper, with an image size of 13" x 9". 

It is framed in a rustic "White Washed" frame, 

sized at 20" x 16" with a museum single, white matt.

This painting is a common veiw on a typical visiting Sunday evening.

It is done in Transparent Watercolor, and is on a 1/2 sheet

of D'Arches 140 lb. cold pressed watercolor paper.

26" x 22"  in a white washed rustic wood.

The color shifts softly from warm to cool and draws the viewer

over the hill right along with the buggy.

This is the "Fruit Cellar" subject matter, in a much different light.

In the evening moonlight, and a cast interior light, from the kitchen window

this familiar subject takes on a completely different light.

The White House

This piece is done in Transparent Watercolor.

The image size is 18" x 13", framed in a rustic "White Washed" frame, meauring 27" x 21".

 It is a typical example of an Amish Homestead that has been added onto many times

 to accomadate members of the family coming to live at the homestead.

 It is very common for the Grandparents, or a young married Son and or Daughter, 

to "Add On" and live at the home they were raised in.

The Dauddy House

This piece is called the "Dauddy House". 

It is a traditional transparent watercolor painting, on 140 lb. , cold pressed D'Arches Paper.

It is a amish "Grandparents House" that no longer exists in this condition. 

The House on the right side was the grandparents house and was torn down a few years ago. 

The home has since been remolded, and updated.

The painting image size is, 14" x 10", and is matted in a single white matt. 

It is framed in an antique dark charcoal gray frame, size; 24" x 20".
